This announcement isn’t a shock because Manning had probably the
greatest offensive performance in 2013 of any player in the history of
the National Football League.
In leading Denver through 2013 and the AFC Championship, Manning
shattered records with 5,477 yards, 55 touchdowns and just 10
interceptions. He also finished the year with a 68.3% completion
percentage.
His second year in Denver was undoubtedly his best, and 2013 was
further validation that he’s up for the title of greatest of all time
when all is said and done. A victory over Seattle on Sunday will put a
stamp on that.
With Manning’s dynamic efforts, the Broncos were the owners of the most dominant offense in the NFL this season.
