New Steeler Fernando Velasco |
Former Tennessee Titans center Fernando Velasco has signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Adam Caplan of ESPN's NFL Insiders reported Monday.
The signing comes one day after Steelers All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey tore the ACL and MCL in his knee, ending his season.
Velasco signed with the Titans in 2008 as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia. He spent the first five years of his career in Tennessee before the Titans cut him on Aug. 31, the last day of cuts to get down to a 53-man roster.
